About
The Parents' Perspective is a free parenting-education site from Taciturn Studios LLC. We write plain-language lessons for parents of children from toddlerhood through the teen years.
Our lens is attachment theory, the idea from John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth that children explore bravely when they trust someone steady is waiting. Every lesson starts from published research, names its sources, and ends with something practical to say or try.
How we write
- Every article cites peer-reviewed studies, professional guidelines (such as the American Academy of Pediatrics), or well-established books by researchers.
- We say when evidence is mixed or modest.
- We are not your child's doctor or therapist. When something sounds serious, we say so and point you to professional help.
Where to begin
New readers usually start with the start-here guide, which walks through the library by age. The glossary defines the terms we use, and our editorial standards explain how we pick and check sources.
Who we are
The Parents' Perspective is published by Taciturn Studios LLC, a small independent studio that also publishes Searching for Bowlby, a history of attachment theory. We currently have 62 lessons across eight departments, from toddler tantrums to teen driving.
